Audi sells two hybrid vehicles in the U.S.—the Q5 TFSI e crossover, and the A7 TFSI e sport sedan.
No doubt Gunther will be prancing in his lederhosen at this news, as Audi offers these two models as plug-in hybrids. Here’s the lowdown on each of these Audis:
Audi Q5 TFSI e
Audi’s Q5 PHEV offers all the beauty and performance of the gasoline-version, but with a much lighter carbon footprint. The hybrid Q5 sports a 2.0 L 4 cylinder engine combined with an electric motor that, with a 7 speed S tronic automatic transmission, pumps out 362 horsepower. The hybrid Q5 goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds, while featuring Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system.
Audi A7 TFSI e
The A7 PHEV sport sedan gives you aggressively dashing exterior styling, gorgeous interiors, and reduced environmental impact—not to mention as much power as you’d get with the gas-only A7. It also sports a 2.0 L 4 cylinder engine combined with an electric motor to go along with its 7 speed tronic automatic transmission. Like the Q5 hybrid, the A7 hybrid also pumps out 362 horsepower, and goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a quicksilver 5.2 seconds. The A7 comes with Audi Pre-sense, the German automatker’s driver-assist technology.
