What does the Nissan 5-year warranty cover?

I was going through my Nissan warranty, and I quickly saw a 5-year warranty that wasn’t basic coverage. What is it, and what does it cover?

Nissan’s
5-year warranty covers your vehicle’s major systems, including the transmission, engine, and drive systems. It is a 5-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.
All covered systems and parts must be original to the car or supplied by Nissan. The powertrain warranty also covers engine parts, such as oil, water, and fuel pumps.
On top of the powertrain warranty, all Nissans also come with:
  • Basic coverage: 36 months/36,000 miles
  • Corrosion coverage: 60 months/unlimited mileage
  • Federal emission performance: 24 months/24,000 miles
  • Federal emission defect: 36 months/36,000 miles
  • Federal emission long-term defect: 96 months/80,000 miles
  • Seat belt: 120 months/unlimited mileage
Having a good warranty to protect your Nissan is great, but having a good car insurance policy on top of that is even better. And when you shop for car insurance with
