What does the Ford Gold warranty cover?

We’re looking at getting a used car, and I would prefer a certified pre-owned Ford that’s eligible for warranty coverage. But what does the Ford Gold warranty cover?

The Ford Gold warranty covers:
  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Rear- or Front-wheel drive system
  • Steering
  • Brakes
  • Front and rear suspension
  • Electrical system
  • AC and heating
  • Emissions
  • Audio system
  • Safety features
When you buy a certified pre-owned Ford, it will fall under one of two categories:
  • Blue Certified for vehicles up to 10 years old with fewer than 120,000 miles
  • Gold Certified for vehicles up to 6 years old with fewer than 80,000 miles
The warranty coverage for Gold Certified vehicles is a little more extensive than the Blue Certified warranty. The Gold-status limited warranty lasts 12 months or 12,000 miles and includes limited coverage for many of Ford’s safety and infotainment tech features, as well as a roadside assistance plan.
That gives you a lot of protection and assurance, but it’s not everything you’ll need. You’ll want to make sure you’ve got the right kind of
