I was driving down Highway 1 recently, not a care in the world, until my automotive reverie was rudely disrupted by my check tire pressure light coming on. What does the check tire pressure system light mean on a Lexus LS 460?

If the tire pressure monitoring system lights up on the dashboard of your
Lexus LS 460
, this means one of your tires is low on air, so pull over and check your tires when it is safe to do so.If you notice a tire (or tires) are low on air, inflate the tire with an air pump, then use a tire pressure gauge to ensure your tire is at the recommended level. It’s usually easiest to do this at a gas station with an air pump.
To air up your tires, remove the tire pressure stem cap, and then press the tire pressure gauge onto the stem. If your tire is low, pump some air into it until you reach the recommended level. Don’t know the recommended tire pressure level for your Lexus? There should be a sticker on the inside of the driver’s side door jamb that will tell you this information. Failing that, check your owner’s manual.
Once you’ve inflated your tire (or tires) to their recommended level, you’re ready to go. Now, if you notice the tire pressure monitoring system light is still lit up on your dashboard, try this to reset the system—you should be able to reset the system by driving at 50 miles per hour for about 10 minutes. The next time you turn your ignition on, the light should be out, as the tire pressure system will be reset.
