What does the charging cable for the Honda Clarity look like?
I borrowed my friend’s Honda Clarity hybrid for the weekend while they’re out of town, and I can’t find the charging cable. I really need to use their car though, and am probably going to try and just buy a replacement. What does the charging cable look like though, and how will I know I’m buying the right one?

You’ll be able to take the Honda Clarity to any compatible
EV charging
station in order to get the batteries back to 100% capacity, so don’t worry about buying another charger unless you were the one who lost it. However, if you’re short on time, avoid a Level 1 charger, and head for a Level 2 or Level 3, which will get you back on the road within approximately 1-4 hours. The Honda Clarity does come with a
charging cable
, though, so if you’re unable to find it, it’s possible that it’s lost in the garage or in the car somewhere. It’s black, with prong receptors on either end. The car comes with an industry standard SAE J1772 cable, but replacement cables can be found online or at your nearby Honda dealership. If you charge your friend’s Honda Clarity at home, you simply plug in to a standard home wall socket, but if you happen to get your hands on a Level 2 charger, don’t be tempted to try and hook it up to an appliance outlet, such as those used for your washer or dryer.
