What does SRT8 mean?
I’ve seen cars with SRT and SRT8 badges, and I have absolutely no idea what it stands for. Any chance you can clear up for me what SRT8 means?

Hey, if we’re being honest, we kept reading it as “STR8” until we learned better. It can be kind of confusing, especially because it’s limited to a select number of cars, but we bet you saw them mostly on Dodges.
To keep it simple, “SRT” stands for Sport Racing & Technology, a team that was originally founded in 1989 to develop the Dodge Viper. Today, they’re a group that heavily tunes high-performance automobiles, particularly for Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep. So if you see the SRT badge on any of these, that means the team has had their hand in the car’s development.
As far as the “8” is concerned, that’s much more straightforward—it’s just the number of
engine cylinders
