What does CBNA on a credit report mean?
I’m trying to be better about looking at my credit report since I’m trying to buy a house soon. I’m very confused looking at this report—it seems like everything’s written in a code I don’t understand. I’m seeing “CBNA” on my credit report a lot. What does that mean?

Good for you for being proactive! CBNA on your credit report stands for Citibank North America. It’s likely referencing a source of a credit inquiry or an account on your credit report.
If you have a Citibank credit card, you might see CBNA paired with a prefix for a retailer or restaurant. For example, The Home Depot is THD, so if you purchased something from there recently, you might see: THD/CBNA.
Those codes can be confusing. Here’s a helpful cheat sheet:
