What does a BYD electric car look like?
I’ve been reading more about the Chinese electric automotive company BYD in the news, but I’ve never seen any of their cars in real life. What does a BYD car look like?

BYD is one of the biggest names in
electric cars
in the world, but you won’t find any of its cars stateside, as it does not yet export its passenger cars to the U.S.BYD offers three series of plug-in electric passenger cars: the E-series, the Dynasty Series and the Ocean Series.
- The E-series includes a city car, a compact hatchback, a compact sedan, a compact MPV, and a mid-size sedan. Each vehicle has a classic, luxurious look.
- The Dynasty Series, which was launched in 2013, offers a slightly more upscale and flashy lineup, reflecting the dynasty theme of the series.
- Lastly, the Ocean Series is a series of plug-in electric vehicles based on the Ocean-X, a mid-size performance car concept from BYD. The cars that have been released so far have a highly futuristic and aerodynamic look.
It is unclear if and when BYD will bring any of its models to the U.S. as trade tensions and expensive tariffs have been a roadblock for Chinese cars.
