What do I need to sell my car in Idaho?

I’m in the market for a new car. I was going to trade my old car in, but I realized I could get quite a bit more by selling it privately. I’ve just never done it before, so I’m at a bit of a loss. What do I need to sell my car in the Gem State?

You can definitely get more money by selling your car rather than trading it in, so it’s a smart move if you have the patience to take out an ad and find a buyer. Once you find a buyer, here’s what you need to sell your car in
Idaho
:
  • Fill out the official Idaho bill of sale, also known as form ITD 3738.
  • Transfer the title over to the seller, making sure to include your signature. If you lost the title, you need to fill out form ITD 3367 to get a replacement title.
That’s it!
