What do I do if my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country’s sliding door won’t open?

I bought a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan last month and the sliding doors worked fine, but now the passenger side door won’t open. What should I do?

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your Chrysler. There are many reasons why your 2005
Chrysler Town and Country’s
sliding doors won’t open, but it’s most likely that something is obstructing the door’s upper or lower tracks.
To see if this is the case, simply check the upper and lower tracks of your minivan’s doors for dust, fluid, or anything else, and clean it out.
If nothing is blocking the door’s tracks, there’s a chance something is wrong with your Town and Country’s actuator. The actuator is a critical component of your minivan’s electronic control system. Diagnosing a problem with the actuator can be a little tricky, so it’s best to
take your vehicle to a trusted mechanic
for a professional opinion.
That said, installing a new actuator is relatively simple and will cost between $100 and $300 if you’re prepared to take care of it on your own. Hope this helps!
