What causes an Acura TL ticking noise?
My Acura TL recently started to make a weird ticking noise. Since I’m admittedly not a car person, I have no idea what’s causing it, but it’s certainly driving me insane. What might be causing the Acura TL to make a ticking noise?

The Acura TL ticking noise is most likely the result of a bad timing belt tensioner, which is a common, documented problem with the
Acura TL V6
and other Acura vehicles that have the 3.2-liter V6 engine.To replace the timing belt tensioner (note that this is different from the
driving belt tensioner
!), you should reasonably expect to pay between $700 and $800 including parts and labor. While it can be costly, getting a replacement should solve the ticking issue immediately. It is known that

tend to be about their transmission and engine, as well as the appearance of unknown squeaking noises—like with your own Acura TL.
