I am planning a big road trip and I am looking for rest areas. I think I’m allowed to spend the night in my car in some of them. What are the rest stops on the NJ turnpike north?
turnpike approximately every 20 miles going both directions. In some areas, it’s more like 15 miles between each rest stop.

Mile Marker 39, James Fenimore Cooper Service Plaza in Burlington County
Mile Marker 58, Woodrow Wilson Service Plaza in Mercer County
Mile Marker 78, Joyce Kilmer Service Plaza in Middlesex County
Mile Marker 92, Grover Cleveland Service Plaza in Middlesex County
Mile Marker 116, Vince Lombardi Service Plaza in Bergen County (this is a bi-directional rest stop, available to both north and southbound drivers)
