We’ve got you covered! There are 12 rest stops on the NJ turnpike going both directions, from Salem County to Bergen County.
You will find service plazas on the
New Jersey
turnpike approximately every 20 miles going both directions. In some areas, it’s more like 15 miles between each rest stop.
Here are the northbound rest stops:
  • Mile Marker 5, John Fenwick Service Plaza in Salem County
  • Mile Marker 39, James Fenimore Cooper Service Plaza in Burlington County
  • Mile Marker 58, Woodrow Wilson Service Plaza in Mercer County
  • Mile Marker 78, Joyce Kilmer Service Plaza in Middlesex County
  • Mile Marker 92, Grover Cleveland Service Plaza in Middlesex County
  • Mile Marker 116, Vince Lombardi Service Plaza in Bergen County (this is a bi-directional rest stop, available to both north and southbound drivers)
Here are the southbound rest stops:
  • Mile Marker 5, Clara Barton Service Plaza in Salem County
  • Mile Marker 30, Walt Whitman Service Plaza in Camden County
  • Mile Marker 58, Richard Stockton Service Plaza in Mercer County
  • Mile Marker 71, Molly Pitcher Service Plaza in Middlesex County
  • Mile Marker 92, Thomas Edison Service Plaza in Middlesex County
  • Mile Marker 111, Alexander Hamilton Service Plaza in Hudson County
  • Mile Marker 116, Vince Lombardi Service Plaza in Bergen County (this is a bi-directional rest stop, available to both north and southbound drivers)
Woodrow Wilson and Molly Pitch Plazas may still be closed due to renovations in spring 2022.
Remember, you can always pull over to a fast food restaurant if your toddler needs a potty stop!
