Should I let my boyfriend drive my car if he's not on my insurance policy?

My boyfriend currently doesn't have a car. Is it okay to let him drive my car if he's not insured on my policy?

“You can let your boyfriend drive your car on occasion. As long as he has your permission to drive your car, your
car insurance
will likely cover him.
But if he gets into an at-fault accident and the costs of the accident exceed your coverage limits, you’ll be responsible for any remaining balance. And your rates will climb as well. So be careful and make sure your boyfriend can be trusted with your car. “
