My car won’t start and there’s no noise when I turn the key. What’s wrong?

I tried to start my car this morning and it won’t turn on. It doesn’t even make a sound when I turn the key. It was working fine yesterday. What would cause that?

If your car won’t start and there’s no noise when you turn the key, the most likely solution is that your car battery is dead, especially if it was working fine yesterday. You’ll need to either jumpstart your car using a friend’s working battery and some jumper cables or remove the battery and take it to an auto parts store to recharge it.
A dead battery can be a serious headache. Make sure that you always turn your car off completely, remove the keys, and shut off any and all interior and exterior lights before your get out of the car—that should help you avoid running into this issue again.
Once you get your car up and running again, don’t forget to use
