Is there a way to get money from a tow company if they essentially total my car?
"What should I do if a tow company denies damages they did to my car? I called my insurance company to get a tow when my car wouldn't start due to a starter problem.
My spouse picked me up to take me to the repair shop. When the tow truck finally arrived, my heart sank. They didn't use a flatbed to haul my all-wheel-drive car, securing only two wheels instead. As a result, the drivetrain is ruined. Now the tow company denies that it happened. They've offered me half the value of my car to settle."

“You should definitely call your
car insurance
company to get them involved in the dispute. They may help you, they may not, but it’s definitely worth a shot.As far as offering half the value of your car, you have three options:
If you decide to make a counteroffer, you should expect another lowball offer. However, it might net you more money than you would after paying an attorney.
If possible, find an attorney to review your case pro bono and see what they say. That’s the best option available.”
