Is the Toyota 5-year warranty transferable?

After owning my Toyota for a few years, I want to buy a new one. Instead of trading my car in, however, I’m going to sell it privately. Can I transfer my Toyota 5-year warranty to a new owner?

If you want to maximize the amount you get for your vehicle,
selling your car
privately is a smart move. And even better, the Toyota 5-year warranty is 100% transferable at no cost to you. From a resale perspective, you can probably add a few hundred dollars to the price of the vehicle, just so long as there’s a bit of time remaining on the warranty.
The 5-year, 60,000-mile warranty refers to Toyota’s powertrain warranty and covers all the drivetrain, transmission, and engine components. Toyota also has a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty which may also add to your resale value if it’s still in effect.
