Is the Porsche Macan an SUV?
I’ve been thinking about getting a Porsche for some time now. However, I need the versatility and convenience of an SUV—but I don’t want a crossover. The Porsche Macan fits my budget, but is it an SUV?

The Porsche Macan is a compact luxury crossover SUV, but don’t take that as an issue. Older SUVs have frame-on-body construction, much like a truck. However, newer SUVs—including the Macan—have embraced unibody construction, which is a feature of crossover SUVs.
With that said, a crossover SUV rides more like a car than a traditional SUV, meaning that it’s smoother and quieter. In the past, crossovers weren’t exactly great at towing, but the Macan should rid you of your concerns, towing up to 4,409 pounds.
On top of that, it offers up to 434 horsepower, seating for five, and a spacious cabin that can accommodate up to 53 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded.
