The Kia Telluride is borderline a luxury SUV.
The 2023 Kia Telluride
is one of the most well-appointed midsize SUVs on the market. When you get into the Telluride SX
trim (which isn’t even the top tier), you’d be hard-pressed to say it isn’t a luxury SUV. All Tellurides are fitted with a smooth V6 engine boasting 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It sports great handling and a newly updated exterior with a flashy grille, headlights, front bumper, and more.
The interior is spacious, quiet, and loaded with standard technology, including a new digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen—and that’s just on the base trim. With a starting price of $37,025, the Telluride seems like a bargain.
Now, to your social-climbing hubby, the SX trim, priced at a very reasonable $46,825, is where the Telluride is downright luxurious. Along with all the standard features of the base trim, the SX trim comes equipped with a head-up display, 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory settings, Nappa leather upholstery, and heated and ventilated rear seats.
As well, the Telluride SX comes standard with slick, 20-inch black rims, front and rear sunroofs, and second-row captains chairs. Oh, and did we forget the standard Harman/Kardon audio system?
All-wheel drive costs $2,000 extra. So yes, the Kia Telluride is a luxury SUV, but it isn’t dragged down by a luxury SUV price.
