Does SunPass work for all tolls in Florida?
I just moved to Florida, and it’s my first time driving around the Sunshine State. After having to stop at a few toll booths, a local told me that I should consider a toll pass to avoid wasting time. Will the SunPass work for all the different tolls throughout the state?

Yes—SunPass does work for all tolls in Florida!
SunPass is one of two toll pass options in Florida that works for all tolls and managed roads, as well as most tolled bridges throughout the state. However, it’s not the only option. You also have EZ-Pass, which is another viable option no matter where you live in the Sunshine State.
With 13 million transponders in use compared to just 800,000 for EZ-Pass, SunPass is the more popular option. However, the EZ-Pass is free compared to the SunPass’s $4.95 cost. The only major difference is where the pass works. EZ-Pass works on most tolls in Florida, as well as 18 other states around the country. SunPass works only in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Keep in mind that many of the toll signs in Florida read SunPass only, but both the SunPass and EZ Pass will work, so don’t be confused by them.
