Is the Kia 10-year powertrain warranty transferable?

I have a 2018 Kia that I’m planning to sell because I need a larger car, but I still have certain valid parts of the original warranty. Is the 10-year powertrain warranty transferable to the new owner?

Yes—the Kia 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty is transferable to a new owner. However, it will be reduced to a 5-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty when the new owner takes possession of the vehicle. This warranty will cover important powertrain components like the engine, transmission, axles, and driveshafts.
When your Kia is sold, the following remaining warranties will also transfer to the new owner:
  • 5-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty
  • 5-year/100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty
  • 5-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance plan
On top of having a good warranty for a new vehicle, it’s also important to have a good car insurance policy to protect it on the road. When you shop with
