Is the Ford C-Max an SUV?

A friend on my bowling team is selling his Ford C-Max on the cheap. I’m in the market for a car, so I’m considering it—especially because it has low miles and he’s kept it meticulously maintained. However, after some research, I can’t figure out what this car is. I’d like an SUV, but I’m not sure it qualifies. Is the Ford C-Max an SUV or something else?

The interesting shape and height of the Ford C-Max blur the lines between various models, so deciphering it isn’t easy. However, based on reviews and information from Ford, the Ford C-Max is not an SUV. It falls under either the category of a station wagon or a hatchback, depending on what trim and model year you have.
*With seating for up to five, a lift-up tailgate, and 52.6 cubic feet of cargo space, the C-Max is either a larger hatch or a smaller station wagon—although the sportier looks would push it more toward the hatchback realm**. Either way, the car gets stellar reviews from most critics and consumers, so it might be a great option if you can get it at the right price.
While you’re doing your research on the C-Max, why not take just a few minutes more to lower your potential
