Do you tip car detailers?

Will I need to tip the person who does my car detailing? I’m not really sure what the etiquette is for detailing because I’ve never had it done before, but I don’t want to accidentally stiff the person who works on my car.

Yes, it’s standard procedure to tip
car detailers
! While it’s definitely not a requirement, it’s still polite to leave a tip for this kind of service. Usually, a respectable tip is considered 15% of the total cost, although you can tip more for a job well done.
Some detailers will give you the option to tip on your receipt, as you would in a restaurant, but some may include a tip in the price. If you’re not sure about your detailing price, make sure to ask the attendant!
