According to Edmunds, the Audi Q5 is a compact SUV. But here’s the thing—as you’ve probably noticed, the same vehicle that is called compact by some may be deemed small or even midsize to others.
And to complicate things further, the EPA officially classifies the Audi Q5 as a small SUV, but they only have two categories: small (GVW of under 6,000 lbs) and standard (GVW of more than 6,000 pounds).
At the end of the day, it’s on the smaller size of the spectrum and seats five. Only a test drive will tell if it’s the right fit for you. Have fun!
