Is Oregon a no-fault state?

Does Oregon have a no-fault policy when it comes to car accidents? I got into an accident a few weeks ago and I’m confused about some of the stuff that I’m being asked to cover.

I’m sorry to hear that you got into an accident! Oregon is not a
no-fault state
, which means that the driver who is deemed at fault in an accident is financially responsible for any resulting harm from the accident.
However, the resulting costs will typically be covered under your car insurance policy, meaning the bill will go directly to your insurer. If you don’t have insurance, the other driver can file a lawsuit against you to get you to cover the cost of their injuries and damages.
