Is it common for car insurance rates to go up after using roadside assistance?
I recently had to request roadside assistance because of a flat tire. My insurance agent told me that if I use roadside assistance again, my rates will go up. Is this common practice?

It’s not unheard of for roadside assistance claims to result in higher premiums. Many
car insurance
companies allow drivers to use roadside assistance three times. If the claim you made recently is your third, then this explains why your agent gave you a warning.If you want access to roadside assistance in the future but are wary of a rate hike, you may want to consider an alternative provider like AAA.
