Is I-70 in Colorado a toll road?

I just went on a road trip through Colorado and took I-70 for part of it—then I realized there were signs about tolls! Is there a toll I need to pay that I don’t know about?

That’s a great question! I-70 in Colorado is not a toll road, but the designated Express Lanes require a toll for drivers, including motorcyclists, hybrid drivers, and carpoolers.
If you do drive in the Express Lane, you can pay your toll online through an ExpressToll account or through License Plate Toll (LPT).
