Is Florida doing enough to prevent distracted driving?

Has Florida done anything to stop distracted driving accidents? I read something recently about how many distracted driving accidents happen in Florida and it kind of freaked me out!

In truth, the state of
Florida
might not be doing enough to prevent distracted driving. Florida is ranked the second-worst state with regards to distracted driving and, while there have been some recent efforts to enact stricter laws against texting and driving, these laws are rarely enforced.
Since the laws directly target texting and driving, they also neglect other forms of distraction that could pose a danger, including eating, an intense conversation, or grooming yourself. As such, these laws don’t do much for distracted driving as a whole and instead attempt to address only part of the problem.
To stay safe while you’re on the road, make sure to remain alert at all times. If you notice dangerous or erratic behavior from another driver, don’t be afraid to
report it
to local authorities.
