Is an Acura extended warranty worth it?

I want to buy a new Acura, but I want to make sure it’s protected for as long as I own it. I know that Acura has a decent new car warranty, but I was also considering an extended warranty. Is an extended warranty for an Acura worth the price?

Acuras
come with a 4-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty, but an extended warranty might be worth it if you have little disposable income or you don’t have a ton of extra savings.
Acura’s extended warranty, the Acura Care Vehicle Service Contract, lasts up to 8 years or 120,000 miles and covers nearly every component from bumper to bumper. The amount you pay for this coverage varies based on the model and trim, but you can reasonably expect to pay between $1,000 and $2,500.
