Is 295 in Maine a toll road?

I’m planning to drive from Portland up to Augusta and I don’t want to pay a toll if I don’t have to. Google maps planned my route on 295, but I’m not sure if it’s a toll road. Do I have to pay a toll on 295 in Maine?

If you want to drive from Portland to Augusta, 295 is not a toll road. While it runs adjacent to the Maine Turnpike—which is a toll road—it doesn’t require you to pay anything extra. In fact, it’s the shortest distance between the two cities, taking you 53 miles without having to pay anything more than fueling up!
