If I hit another car while driving my cousin's car without insurance, am I responsible for the bill?

"I'm an international student and I was borrowing my cousin's car when I hit someone. I don't have any insurance, but the other driver did and he wants to get his car repaired. Will I have to pay for it?"

follows the car, so if you were driving your cousin’s car, then your cousin will have to pay for the other driver’s damages using their liability insurance.
Your cousin’s insurance company or the other driver’s insurance company may contact you to make a statement about the accident, so let them know what happened if you haven’t already done so.”
