I was refunded for my gap insurance twice. Can I cash both checks?
When I refinanced my car, I removed the gap coverage since I didn't think it was needed anymore. I then got a refund from the dealer and the bank, both for the same amount. Can I keep both checks?

“While a surprise check in the mail is nice, you may want to check with the bank and dealer before you cash it.
It could be that they are both for you or that they are duplicated. If you cash both checks, you may end up owing the dealer or the bank when they realize the error.
