I’m shopping for a new luxury car. However, a warranty is important to me, as I’ve had bad experiences with new cars in the past. What does the standard BMW warranty offer?
Reviewed by Shannon Martin, Licensed Insurance Agent.
The standard BMW warranty is on par with almost all of the other luxury brands on the market. It offers a 4-year, 50,000-mile powertrain warranty and a 4-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty—whichever comes first.
These warranties cover any manufacturer’s defect that occurs as a result of the manufacturing process. However, they don’t cover any issues due to lack of maintenance or general wear and tear.
The BMW warranty covers plenty of features and parts on your car, but it doesn’t cover everything. So if you want to save money for future repairs, compare
