How to jumpstart a diesel truck?

I just bought a diesel truck and want to make sure I know what to do if the battery dies. What do I need to know to jumpstart it?

Knowing how to jump your truck is smart thinking! To jump a diesel truck with two batteries, you should follow these steps:

Open the hood of both vehicles

Position the donor vehicle near the truck with the dead battery

Turn off all the electronics in both vehicles

Confirm that the donor batteries are not low

Attach the positive terminals

Connect the negative terminals

Start the donor car

Startthe truck

This should get your truck running again!

It’s also a good idea to make sure that you keep these items in your trunk in case your battery dies:

Jumper leads

Gloves

Clamps

Wire brush
