doesn’t have to be one of them! To change your address, simply call your provider or use their online portal to make the change.
Because your insurance premiums are tied to where you live—even if you’re not changing states—it’s incredibly important to have this information up-to-date with your provider. In fact, not changing your address could be considered a form of insurance fraud.
Most auto insurance providers will give you a grace period of 10-30 days to notify them of any changes to your personal information, but it’s still best to contact them by phone or online as soon as possible.
