If you’re interested in an electric vehicle specifically, the Leaf can definitely be a good choice. It’s relatively inexpensive, relatively reliable, and has a low average annual cost of ownership.
The only cautionary point about the Nissan Leaf is the battery. Used Leafs often have a poorly functioning battery, so it’s best to buy a Leaf new. The result is a lifespan of just 100,000 to 150,000 miles before you’ll need to undergo the expensive task of installing a new battery in your electric vehicle.
