I’m a huge fan of car history, and I recently saw a picture on Reddit of a 1955 Lincoln Futura—it looked like something out of a 50’s sci-fi movie. So it got me wondering: how many of these were actually made?

Displayed on the auto show circuit in 1955 as a concept car, only one 1955 Lincoln Futura was ever made. Unlike other concept cars from the era, it had an engine and could run. However, the idea was more about the body and features of what a future car could look like—including domed plastic roofs, tailfins, and more.
