How much should I expect to pay for non-owner car insurance in North Carolina?

How much is non-owner car insurance in North Carolina? I borrow my sister's car frequently to run errands because we live at the same address. She's reluctant to add me to her policy because of my credit problems. She suggested a non-owner car insurance policy, but I'm not sure if it's within my budget.

“Your sister might actually be doing you a favor.
The average cost of
non-owner car insurance
in North Carolina is right around $400 per year, compared to about $550 if she was to add you to her policy.
It protects you just the same as
liability coverage
would if you were added to your sister’s policy.”
