How much liability insurance do I need on a 2009 Nissan Sentra if I live in Arizona?
I currently live in Arizona and my car insurance policy is about to end. I decided to review my policy and realized I may not have enough coverage, even though I have liquid assets totaling $125,000. How much coverage should I get on a 2009 Nissan Sentra?

“Even though you have more money built up than a vast majority of Americans, don’t put it at risk over a matter of a few dollars a month.
State-minimum coverage in Arizona is a 25/50/15, but that’s hardly enough to cover most accidents. Instead, you may want to look at a 250/500/250 policy to cover yourself and protect your assets. This policy covers:
- $250,000 for bodily injury liability per person
- $500,000 for bodily injury liability per accident
- $250,000 for property damage liability per accident
Liability coverage is more about protecting other drivers than protecting your Sentra. If you’re worried about your vehicle, you could always add
collision coverage
and comprehensive coverage
