How much does the Subaru extended warranty cost?
I’m getting ready to buy a new car and want to make sure I adjust my monthly budget accordingly. If I choose to get the extended warranty, how much should I expect to pay?

A Subaru extended warranty can cost anywhere from $900 to $3,500. There is such a great range due to several factors:
- Service term: The longer and more mileage you want to extend the warranty, the more it will cost.
- Type of plan: Subaru offers different coverage options. The Classic Plan covers major components and is cheaper, whereas the Gold Plus Plan has more coverage and costs more.
- Type of car: The STi sports cars and WRX have a surcharge on top of the extended warranty cost.
- Deductible amount: You can choose between a $0 or a$100 deductible. Having a $100 deductible brings the cost down.
Although the extended warranty adds more to your cost, your repair costs will be covered for any component issues that manifest during the warranty term. The work will also be performed by Subaru dealers using brand new Subaru parts (never used!).
