How much does it cost to fix car body damage?

My car was T-boned in a parking lot. I can still open and close the doors, so the damage is mostly cosmetic, but the side of my car is pretty badly dented and scratched. How much does it cost to fix car body damage?

Sorry to hear this happened to you! Car body repair costs can vary widely depending on the extent of damage, but they can commonly fall between $1,000 and $5,000.
How the costs pan out for you will likely depend on what’s required to
fix your dents
. If paintless dent removal (PDR) can be used, this will usually help keep the repair cost lower.
If more traditional methods are required to repair the dents, this could involve sanding, filler, priming, and repainting, which could take more time and increase the cost.
Hopefully, you’ll be able to get this sorted soon. Depending on the
car insurance
coverage you have, and whether you’re at fault, you may also be able to file a claim for the repairs.
