I’ve had my Tesla Model 3 for a few weeks. My husband left cruise control on, and I have no idea how to turn it off. How can I turn off cruise control in my Model 3?
. Thankfully, it’s pretty straightforward to turn off cruise control; you just need to do the following:
Press the brake. Pressing the brake pedal is the easiest way to disable cruise control and Autopilot mode.
Press up on the stalk to the right of the steering wheel. If you quickly press up on the stalk, it will turn off cruise control. That said, do not hold the stalk for more than a second. Holding the stalk up for longer can switch your Model 3 into neutral, which would be incredibly dangerous when driving at higher speeds.
Once you’ve turned off cruise control, you will need to accelerate or brake accordingly. If you want to restart cruise control, quickly press down on the steering wheel stalk.
