is definitely super stressful. A locksmith should be able to help you out though—and it might even be covered under your insurance!
Generally, locksmiths will charge $50 to $150 to open your car door. But if you need to rekey your car (i.e., if you lost your keys), the price could be anywhere from $50 to $300.
If this price seems a little steep, don’t panic! Many roadside assistance programs and some insurance policies will actually cover a locksmith fee. So it’s worth checking with both to see if you can save some cash.
