Typically, tractors are equipped with four wheels in total. Most tractors are two-wheel, rear-wheel drive vehicles, meaning that the rear tires power the vehicle while the front ones simply roll along. The larger wheels in the back are responsible for pulling any additional equipment attached to the tractor.
Some more powerful tractors may have six or even eight wheels in total, but these tractor models are typically much larger. Also, trailers can be attached to tractors in order to haul soil, equipment, and other materials, so those will add additional wheels to the tractor’s total wheel count.
