I was hanging out in Albuquerque last weekend with some buddies of mine and must have drank more than I thought I did. I got nailed with a DUI on the way home even though I didn’t feel drunk. If this is my first offense, how long will a DUI show up on my New Mexico driving record?

You only need to blow a .08 BAC to get convicted with a DUI—like you, many people don’t realize they’re at this threshold before getting behind the wheel.
As this is your first offense, you could also face the following penalties:
- License revocation for six months to a year
- Up to $500 in fines
- Installment of an ignition interlock device (IID) on your vehicle for up to a year
