, however, you actually won’t get points on your license for a DUI. This is because license points are used to suspend your license in Tennessee. When you get your first DUI, your license will be suspended for one year, so there’s no point in adding points to your record.If you commit subsequent offenses, your license could be suspended for up to eight years. In some cases, your license will even be revoked for driving under the influence. You’ll face other consequences too, including heavy fines, jail time, and paying to install an engine interlock device on your vehicle.
