How many points before your license is suspended in Indiana?

Does Indiana suspend your license for having too many driving points on your record? My mom has had some bad luck with speeding tickets recently and she’s a little worried.

Unless you’ve received a warning letter in the mail, your mom should be okay! Once you accumulate 20 points or more, your license can be suspended in
Indiana
. Your points will expire two years after conviction, however, so older offenses on your driving record shouldn’t contribute to this point total.
If your mom is really worried about the number of points on her driving record, she can take an approved driver safety program to get rid of some of them. This can be done once every three years and, once the program is completed, four points will be removed from her record.
Even if your mom hasn’t had her license suspended, the number of points on her record is likely affecting her insurance. The

app can help her find the best rates available to her despite her spotty record. Download the app and create a free account to learn more about your options.
