How many miles over is reckless driving?
I was debating with one of my friends about reckless driving. He told me that you have to go 30 mph over the speed limit, but I think it’s lower than that. How many miles over is considered reckless driving?

You can have bragging rights! In most states, 20 miles over the speed limit is considered reckless driving.
However, some states don’t have a specific limit on speed as it pertains to reckless driving. In these states, the police officer has full judgment and discretion to issue a reckless driving ticket based on his or her observations.
In states that don’t have a defined speed limit, the police officer just has to determine that you had a wanton disregard for other motorists and their property. So, you could technically receive a reckless driving charge at any speed.
