How many Mazda RX8s were made?
My dad used to have a Mazda RX8 when we were younger. Now that he’s a bit older, he doesn’t really get excited about much, but I thought buying him an RX8 for his birthday might put some pep in his step. I just want to make certain they’re not so rare that they’ll cost me a fortune. How many RX8s did Mazda produce?

Buying a car for anyone is a nice gesture, so hopefully, you can find an RX8 that will bring back a touch of nostalgia for your old man. Mazda made 192,094 RX8s between 2003 and 2012.
In that sense, RX8s aren’t rare at all. What makes them more difficult to find is the higher mileage present on many RX8s, which isn’t all that surprising considering some of these
used cars
are approaching 20 years old.However, the RX8 has one interesting feature that makes it stand out from other sports cars of the time: a rotary engine. Instead of using cylinders, the RX8 had two rotors to power the 1.3-liter engine. Even with its minute size, the RX8 had as much as 238 horsepower, making it a great option for sports car enthusiasts.
