How many Maserati Ghibli were made?

In total, 1,170 coupés and 125 Spyders (including 45 Spyder SS) of the Maserati Ghibli were produced. Production of the Ghibli was discontinued in 1973. The following year, the company released the Khamsin, designed by Gruppo Bertone.
The original Ghibli was a two-door, four-seater (2+2) sports car with a powerful V8 engine and a 5-speed manual transmission (a 3-speed automatic was optional). It generated 306 hp and was capable of reaching zero to 60 mph in just 6.8 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph.
The Ghibli SS started production in 1969 and featured a more powerful engine capable of generating 330 hp.
